Scrutineers seeks an experienced young person (aged 18-30) to assist our Media Team with building our online presence, increasing our followers and engagement, and researching/implementing the latest in social media data analytics and trends by creating short form videos for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. This person will report directly to the Volunteer Coordinator. This is a 100% volunteer position that will involve a commitment of 4-6 hours per week, completed remotely. Students or professionals that want or require additional volunteer hours may increase their commitment if they would like.
What We’re Looking For
Experience creating and editing short form social media videos, with the capacity for quick turnaround
Ability to commit to and meet fast paced deadlines, as well as create based on current social media trends.
Knowledge of how to find and apply trending audio to videos
Excellent written and verbal communication, proofreading, and editing skills
Ability to understand our messaging, content, mission, and brand, and help us maintain a consistent voice as a non-partisan organization.
Excellent research skills
The ability to consistently offer our organization at least 4-6 hours of your time per week
Passion for protecting our democracy and helping a small non-profit grow more sustainably
Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, etc. is a plus, but not required
Willingness to show your face in some videos is also a plus, but not required
