About FamilyAid
Location:
3815 Washington St, Boston, MA 02130, US
Mission Statement
FamilyAid empowers parents and caregivers facing homelessness to secure and sustain housing and build strong foundations for their children’s futures. Vision: To prevent family homelessness whenever possible-or reduce its harm if it can’t be avoided-through education and supports for children and parents that foster their long-term stability.
Description
FamilyAid has helped thousands of families facing homelessness through a combination of time-tested and innovative solutions. We provide:
- Homelessness prevention for families at risk of losing their homes
- Emergency shelter for families who become homeless
- Housing supports for families returning to housing after a period of homelessness
There are thousands of homeless families in Boston and thousands more living on the brink. The economic tightrope struggling families walk is long, and just one thing can knock them off: a lack of affordable housing or child care, fewer work hours, an accident, domestic violence or illness.
Stable housing and access to key resources are the foundations every child needs to thrive. FamilyAid helps families gain the stability they need for long-term success through whole family services.
