Do you love entrepreneurship, mentoring, or teaching? Enriching Young Minds invites you to be part of something powerful - Young Black Girls in Business (YBGB) - a youth entrepreneurship program for Black girls ages 6-16 in Detroit.
We’re looking for passionate, friendly volunteers to create and lead one or more workshops twice a year for one or all three age groups:
6-9 years: Dream It & Pretend It
Theme:"I Can Be a CEO Too!"
Focus: Imagination, self-esteem, early money skills, simple business exposure and playful and fun business activities
10-12 years: Plan It & Build It
Theme:"Turning My Ideas into a Real Thing"
Focus: Idea development, visual branding, money basics, product creation, storytelling, creative and confidence-building skills
13-16 years: Launch It & Lead It
Theme:"I Am a Business Owner"
Focus: Real business plans, leadership, marketing, finance, digital tools, and personal growth with real-world business tools and leadership development
We welcome a variety of topics, including:

✅ Financial Literacy
✅ Marketing / Social Media
✅ Product ideas
✅ Leadership and Confidence
✅And more or you can pitch a new workshop topic that aligns with our program - we help with printing!

Our mission is to educate and encourage young black girls 6 to 16 years old to own their own businesses while fostering their self-esteem and self-acceptance through programs, mentorship, resources, and business fairs.
Description
Welcome to Enriching Young Minds! We’re a small 501c3 organization, established in 2019, with a big mission: which is dedicated to empowering young Black girls in underserved communities and unleashing their full potential to become successful entrepreneurs. We believe that with the right guidance, support, and resources, young Black girls can unlock their own unique greatness.
Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where young Black girls can develop their skills, self-esteem, and confidence to follow their dreams. We have no doubt that when girls have access to the right opportunities, they can make a positive impact in their own lives and in the lives of those around them.
Now that things are somewhat getting back to normal, We are moving forward and looking for experienced volunteers in different areas to support and help us achieve our goals. We are proud to be a part of the global movement to improve the lives of young Black girls. At Enriching Young Minds, we’re committed to helping them to pursue their dreams and become successful entrepreneurs.

REQUIREMENTS
- This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Must be at least 21
- 60-90 minutes per workshop twice a year
- Passion for Youth Empowerment, Subject Knowledge, Age-Appropriate Approach, Strong Communication Skills, Reliability & Commitment Optional but Valuable: Prior teaching, mentoring, or youth facilitation experience. Experience in entrepreneurship.
