ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

This volunteer position will meet every Saturday, weather permitting, for upkeep of the artistic mosaic benches around General Grant National Memorial, also known as Grant's Tomb. From 10 until 12:30 weekly, volunteers will collect debris from on and around the benches, sweep debris from plaza area, and collect the debris in trash bags and place the bags for pickup. As we progress in our upkeep in the benches, we can possibly expand this operation to include gardening in designated areas. The site will provide all the tools necessary to carry out this project, including the gloves, hats, sunglasses, and tools.
