Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and motivated Volunteer Marketing Specialist to join our team and help promote the Peace Economy Project Podcast. This podcast explores key issues related to peace, social justice, and economic equity. As a Marketing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase the podcast’s visibility, attract new listeners, and engage our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Marketing Strategy Development:
• Collaborate with the podcast team to create and execute marketing strategies that align with the goals of the Peace Economy Project.
• Identify target audiences and tailor marketing efforts to reach those demographics effectively.
• Social Media Management:
• Manage and grow the podcast’s presence on social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Create engaging content, including posts, stories, and promotional materials, to drive awareness and listenership.
• Content Creation:
• Develop and design promotional materials, including graphics, videos, and audio clips, to share across digital platforms.
• Write compelling copy for social media posts, newsletters, and website updates that highlight podcast episodes and key themes.
• Audience Engagement:
• Interact with listeners on social media, respond to comments and messages, and build a community around the podcast.
• Monitor and analyze audience feedback and engagement metrics to refine marketing strategies.
• Email Marketing:
• Create and manage email campaigns to promote podcast episodes and related content.
• Grow and maintain an email list of subscribers interested in the podcast and the Peace Economy Project’s mission.
• Partnership Development:
• Identify and reach out to potential partners, influencers, and media outlets to collaborate on promotional efforts.
• Explore opportunities for cross-promotion with other podcasts, organizations, and platforms.
• Analytics and Reporting:
• Track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and email marketing software.
• Provide regular updates to the podcast team on the success of marketing efforts and suggest improvements based on data.
Qualifications:
• Experience in Marketing: Prior experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content creation is preferred.
• Creative and Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop innovative marketing ideas and execute them effectively.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages.
• Proficiency with Marketing Tools: Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing software, and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Passion for Social Justice: A genuine interest in the issues of peace, economic justice, and social equity, and a desire to contribute to the mission of the Peace Economy Project.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and contribute to a positive work environment.
