"You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Bristol Hospice provides end of life care, and volunteers are integral parts of the teams that care for each patient. You can be a companion and friend for a patient on hospice. Hospice volunteers can also work in the agency office doing various support projects.
Your volunteer time is flexible and valued! When you are a part of the Bristol Volunteer Team, you receive training, support, a network of fellow volunteers and staff, and the knowledge that you have comforted someone on their final journey. At Bristol, we care deeply about our community and those we serve. We are actively seeking volunteers and Veteran volunteers for our Vet to Vet volunteer program.
If this something that you or someone you know may be looking for, get in touch with Mackensie Moore, our Volunteer Coordinator at 214-221-9216 or by email at mackensie.moore@bristolhospice.com. We can't wait to meet you!

Mission Statement
Bristol Hospice Dallas is graciously committed to our mission that all patients and families entrusted to our care will be treated with the highest level of compassion, respect, and quality of care.
Description
Bristol Hospice Dallas provides hospice services to meet the physical, psycho-social, and spiritual needs of individuals at the end of life. We focus on an individualized plan of care which may include, as appropriate, the following services: nursing, physicians, hospice aides, spiritual support, therapy, dietary, counseling, volunteers, durable medical equipment, supplies, bereavement services and medications related to terminal illness.
Volunteers are an important part of the hospice model. Volunteers provide special compassionate presence and support to our patients and family in ways that only a volunteer can. When a volunteer visits a patient, they are visiting the patient because they want to be there. It's not a job or an obligation. That is a powerful action for our patients and families!
