The Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center's (NWDC) Mountain Campus is in the historic Pueblo Mountain Park, a 611-acre public park located in Beulah Valley. Beulah is approximately a 26-mile drive outside of Pueblo.
What you'll do:Join us in a trailblazing endeavor as we reroute sections of the trail, clear corridors, maintain tread surfaces, and install drainage structured to preserve the integrity of the trail’s slopes and improve the user experience.
Enjoy breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, along with dinner on Saturday. Bring your own lunch (BYOL). Free campsites are available on Friday night and Saturday night, and volunteers are encouraged to arrive at base camp before 8 pm on Friday.
Why it's important:You will support the NWDC in a two-year plan to revitalize three of its most utilized trails. Your efforts will enhance the sustainability of these well-trodden paths, ensuring safe and enjoyable adventures for all users.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Ages 14+
Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older on overnight projects.

Accessibility Factors:
Vehicle Accessibility: All roads leading to NWDC and inside the property are maintained and accessible to all vehicles.
Other notes: Cell phone service is not reliable in the area. The distance between the camping area and worksite is about 1.5 mi. Volunteers will carpool to the work-site. Bathrooms are only available in the camping area, not on trail. Volunteers can expect to hike 1.5 mi. to the highest work site.
