Help Fair Trade Minneapolis at the Powderhorn Porchfest, with Fair Trade artisan products from Haiti
ORGANIZATION: Fair Trade Minneapolis

Haiti needs help. Fair Trade Minneapolis brings metal wall art, Haiti Friends dolls, ceramic mugs, holiday ornaments, "jewelry" made of ceramic and paper-rolled beads, and garden stakes - from Papillon Marketplace in Haiti - to events in Minneapolis.
Fair Trade Minneapolis needs volunteers at the Powderhorn Porchfest in Minneapolis. We're often just my mother and me (see photo - that’s us with a volunteer!), so I'm reaching out to ask for your help!
More information: Fair Trade Minneapolis is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We encourage people to choose Fair Trade products - to pay farmers & artisans fairly, protect our environment with the Fair Trade Standards for sustainable agriculture, and ensure that the cocoa to make our chocolate has been farmed by adults.
At events, we sell Fair Trade artisan products made in Haiti by parents at Papillon Marketplace https://papillonmarketplace.com. In Haiti, Papillon Marketplace hires parents, pays them fairly for their work, and provides childcare for their children. Our orders for their products provide jobs for those parents in Haiti!
To events, we also bring dozens of kinds of Fair Trade tea, and some Fair Trade chocolate - and give this away for free when time permits. Yes - this is for you too!
Saturday, September 21 from 2:30pm to midnight, we need volunteers who can help us in our booth for Fair Trade Minneapolis during the Powderhorn Porchfest. Our booth will be on 17th Ave S in Minneapolis, somewhere between 32nd and 34th St - in the week before Sep 21, we'll learn our exact booth location. The event runs from 4 to 10pm. We also need help with set-up and take-down.
Thank you for helping Fair Trade Minneapolis with the Powderhorn Porchfest!
