A 76-year-old woman with ALS and her husband would like a volunteer to help them around the house with various chores, organizing, gardening, and/or yard work. They would ideally like a volunteer who is able to visit every other week for 1-2 hours at a time. Monday, Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday afternoons would work best with their schedule.

What is ALS?
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.
How does The ALS Association help?
We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
