Do you love sports and want to make a meaningful impact? The Special Olympics is looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to join us as Coaches/assistant coaches! This is a wonderful opportunity to help athletes with intellectual disabilities improve their tennis skills and experience the joy of the game.
Where? Burke County, Morganton, NC 28655
When? September to November, Once per week (1-2 hours) - Location and Time TBD
As a Special Olympics coach, you bring enthusiasm, commitment and a positive attitude to each practice, event and competition. You will enrich the lives of our athletes in many life-changing ways. The skills and confidence an athlete learns through sports have a long and lasting effect. They can help an athlete succeed in school or even find a job.
We provide the training you need to be a successful assistant coach. All coaches must be at least 18 years old to be a certified coach.
