About MORE: MORE is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering new Americans by providing comprehensive support through English classes at our home site and onsite at various workplaces. We also offer social services and basic needs assistance. Our mission is to help participants reach their full potential and enjoy abundant, healthy lives with greater stability.

Commitment: Weekly, Thursdays 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM and/or Fridays 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Position Overview:
Join us in making a difference in our community by assisting with the distribution of essential items to those in need. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to help with our Basic Needs Distribution program, which provides free clothing, household items, and food to our local immigrant population and other community members.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Clothing & Household Items Distribution (Thursdays, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM):

  • Assist in sorting donated clothing and household items.
  • Help with setting up and displaying items for distribution.
  • Engage with clients to ensure they receive the items they need.

• Food Distribution (Fridays, 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM):

  • Sort and organize food donations.
  • Assist in setting up the distribution area.
  • Distribute food items to community members.

Time Commitment:
Volunteers are needed each week. You can choose to volunteer on Thursdays, Fridays, or both days, depending on your availability.

Qualifications:

• A positive attitude and willingness to help others.
• Ability to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items.
• Comfortable working in a busy environment and engaging with community members.
• No prior experience is necessary; training will be provided.
