Maintains & updates Las Vegas ICO communitypartners' rosters -- past & present
- Ensure current communit partners' roster is up-to-date, quarterly
- Liaise with recreational specialists or other hosts to obtain employee changes or connfirm current status
- Communicate with active members on any status changes with partners, distribute roster
- Stay intormed of Clark County school holidays & other closing date that might affect LVICO outings
- Coordinate with Chair to develop a plan on creatinve event to promote LVICO outings, i.e. pre-trip" tabling event during afterschool programs)
- Maintain monthly/quarterlycommunication with partners to provide available dates for LVICO outings or inquire about best dates that fit partners' calendars
- Stay informed of community partners' activities via their website -- consider opportunities where LVICO can "piggyback" or contribute to ther events, resated to our mission

Mission Statement
Las Vegas ICO--Inspiring Connections Outdoors introduces urban youth to the natural outdoor world so that they may forge a meaningful bond with nature and learn to appreciate its wonder and understand the need to protect it.
Description
Las Vegas ICO--Inspiring Connections Outdoors, is a volunteer outreach program of the Sierra Club, provides nature outings and wilderness experiences for underserved urban youth in the Las Vegas area. Volunteer leaders work in cooperation with community agencies and schools to provide safe and enjoyable outdoor experiences to young people who, otherwise, might not have them. ICO is seeking volunteer hike leaders as diverse as the youth we serve. We are also seeking members of the support team for leaders, including managing paperwork and recruitment of leaders among people of color representative of our typical youth participants. At this time we are preparing to restart post-Covid precautions as local conditions improve.
