DARCC's Volunteer Training will take place Nov. 4th - Nov. 21st. The training is a total of 40 hours, will be virtual (via Zoom), and is required by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) for anyone who is interested in volunteering for agencies that work directly with sexual assault survivors. Our volunteers can assist survivors by answering calls from our 24/7 crisis hotline, accompanying survivors during a sexual assault forensic exam, and by providing legal advocacy (e.g., court accompaniment, accompaniment to law enforcement agencies for initial reports/interviews) for survivors. Participants must attend all 40 hours and receive a certificate of completion before volunteering. Background checks will be done for all applicants.
