The Race for Hope Greater Philadelphia raises awareness and much needed resources to fund critical programs to improve the lives of all those affected by brain tumors. Individuals and teams have the chance to honor and remember loved ones, connect with others interested in the brain tumor cause, and helps to educate the local population on the diverse needs of the brain tumor community.

Volunteers are needed throughout the day. Volunteers play an integral role at our events - not only during the event itself, but also the day before and hours immediately following the walk. Event volunteer positions are usually assigned in shifts and include assignments such as:

  • Set Up Day OF Event - 5:30am-7:30am
  • Volunteer Tent - 5:30am-11:00am
  • Registration Tent - 6:00am-10:00am
  • Refreshments Tent - 6:15am-12:00pm
  • Honor and Celebrate Tent - 6:15am-11:15am
  • Kids Tent - 6:30am-11:15am (face painters needed!)
  • Route Marshalls - 9:00am-11:30am
  • Water Stops - 9:00am-11:30am
  • Breakdown - 11:15am-1:15pm

Please consider how you would like to help and we will do our best to match you to your preferred role. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your NBTS Staff at tmilanese@braintumor.org.
