For our annual United in Service campaign, The Mission Continues Service Platoons across the country have organized service projects for veterans and local volunteers to come together, make an impact in their community, and honor those who served and sacrificed in the wake of 9/11.
This year, as we honor the spirit of unity and remembrance, the Atlanta Platoon is thrilled to invite you to participate in the next phase of our heartfelt project at Oak View Elementary School. We will be updating a dynamic outdoor classroom, bringing new life to the playgrounds, creating a serene planning area for the teachers, expanding existing learning garden, and more! This event isn’t just about building and beautifying; it's about coming together as a community in remembrance and dedication. It’s a day to connect, reflect, and contribute to a cause that extends beyond ourselves.
Everyone is welcome! Whether you're a skilled builder, a gardening enthusiast, or simply eager to lend a hand for a good cause, your presence will make a difference. Be sure to wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. The Mission Continues will be providing free lunch to all volunteers.
Please note that all volunteers are required to complete registration and waiver on The Mission Continues event page before September 7th. To find the TMC event page, copy and paste this url in your browser: https://www.missioncontinues.org/event/details/?id=a1lWP000000c7en
Join us as we continue to build, beautify, and give back in unity. Together, we can create a lasting impact. We look forward to seeing you there!
