Sunshine Under the Stars is a casino fundraiser being held at our Wilsonville distribution center. There will be food, drinks, casino games like blackjack and roulette, a silent auction, raffle, and we’re working on getting a live band as well! Here’s the details and available volunteering activities:

Volunteering activities and shift times:
-Greeters/Guest Service: 4:15pm-8:45pm
-Registration: 4:15pm-8:45pm
-Raffle Ticket Sellers: 4:15pm-8:45pm
-Funny Money Cashiers: 4:15pm-8:45pm
-Silent Auction Attendants: 4:15pm-8:45pm
-Prize Table Attendants: 4:15pm-8:45pm
-Will Call/Check-out: 6:00pm-9:00pm
We are also looking for volunteers with event set-up (11am-3pm) and clean-up (8pm-10pm).
For volunteers we have light bites, snacks, and beverages available. The venue also offers plenty of free parking in front of the building. The building is temperature controlled, but we do recommend wearing comfortable, closed-toed shoes.
All training will be provided when volunteers arrive on the day of the event. Each activity will have a captain that will go over the role and responsibilities.
Last but not least, anyone who volunteers at the Sunshine Under the Stars Casino Night Fundraiser will be automatically entered to win 2 free movie tickets! (5 winners will be chosen and will receive 2 tickets each)

FREE Food & Clothing Assistance for over 95 Years!
Since 1923, the Sunshine Division has been providing food and clothing relief to Portland families and individuals in need. Whether due to the loss of a job, domestic crime, illness, or victims of fire or disaster, the Sunshine Division has built a 98-year legacy of mobilizing quickly and efficiently to assist distressed Portlanders.
We offer food assistance six days a week at our N. Thompson location, four days a week at our SE Stark location, and 24 hour food assistance through our partnership with the Portland Police Bureau, who store Sunshine Division food boxes at each police precinct to be dispatched at any time. We also provide no-cost, bulk food and food boxes to 20+ local hunger relief non-profits serving Clark, Clackamas, Washington, and Multnomah counties. In addition to food relief, we offer new and gently-used clothing in our on-site clothing room and fund new school clothes for low income children through our Izzy’s Kid’s program which pairs a Portland police officer with a child for a one-on-one shopping experience.
