About ACBC Food Shelf

Location:

2615 9th Ave N, Anoka, MN 55303, US

Mission Statement

To provide emergency food and clothing to Anoka County residents in need while maintaining the dignity of those we serve.

Description

ACBC Food Shelf was started in 1971 to help hungry neighbors in the community. Throughout the years, the food shelf has evolved into a client choice shopping model where participants are able to shop for their food no different than in a grocery store. Participants are able to shop for food and clothing once per month and on average take home about 90 pounds of groceries for their family.

We could not serve close to 900 families a month without our awesome volunteer team! Over 100 volunteers help us each month working during our food distributions, behind the scenes sorting donations, stocking shelves, helping with admin work and more!

ACBC Food Shelf is always looking for more help as the need in our community grows. Please reach out if you are interested in learning more about joining the food shelf team! We would be happy to have you!
