We're a student-led nonprofit based in Loudoun County, Virginia with the mission of kids helping kids in the community! Our chapters impact the community by planning and executing their own service projects through the resources and guidance of our nonprofit. In PASTA, you translate your passions and interests into projects. Examples of past projects include guitar and dance lessons, a STEM fair for elementary students, creating "mental health" kits, a "healthy heart" workshop to promote fitness, making an anti-bullying video, Christmas secret Santa activities, and many more. YOU choose your project and we'll guide you with resources, guidance and mentorship every step of the way!
Responsibilities/qualifications for chapters include:
- Consist of 4-6 middle or high school students in Loudoun County, VA with an interest in volunteering
- Devote 4-5hrs/month to do 4-5 service projects annually.
- Prioritize PASTA and uphold our brand and mission.
Benefits for PASTA members and chapters include:

- A learning lab: learn soft skills, leadership and mentorship skills, and business skills.

Our mission is very simple: Kids Helping Kids in the Community
Founded in 2013, PASTA is a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids in the community. Our organization consists of over 200 students operating through 38 chapters doing small to large scale service projects impacting over 25,000 youth.
PASTA aims to redefine community service. Our members collaborate in their teams of 3-6 students to create and implement projects that help kids in their community. It’s student-inspired and student-led. It’s about running a non-profit and becoming a leader. It's about character and compassion, and learning how to help. And, it all started with 12 kids sitting in a basement wondering if they could make a difference. It’s about the future. It’s about Changing the Way the World Cares.
