Community Food Advocates’ Mission:
To utilize high-impact public policy that ensures all New Yorkers have access to healthy, affordable, culturally appropriate foods within an equity-centered food system.
Volunteer Summary:
Volunteers will take photographs of our Youth Food Advocates' Summer Leadership Training Week. Students will be sitting in various sessions throughout the day, but will move around to do icebreakers, and group activities. These photos will be used to promote the program throughout the year, including on our social media pages.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
* Capture photographs at the training
* Review photographs and edit them as necessary
* Send final photographs to the point of contact
Qualifications:
* Must provide own equipment: camera, lenses, flash accessories, etc.
* Photoshop photograph editing skills preferred
* This role is best suited for someone with experience in event photography
Program Directions:
The event will be August 19th-23rd (Monday-Friday). If interested volunteers are not able to make it the full week, it is possible to attend individual days. Our training will be from 10am-4pm, but we are open and flexible, and will accept whatever hours on whatever days you are willing to commit! Lunch will be provided, as well as a 2-trip Metrocard for each day you attend.
