The Brains Behind Saving Yours

Under the supervision of the Volunteer Manager, the volunteer will be trained in various topics regarding Alzheimer's disease, and make presentations within the Hispanic/Latino community.

As we receive requests for speakers, we contact trained commnunity educators to check their availability. Presentations are typically one hour in length, including audience questions. The speaking opportunities occur on various days at various times--sometimes weekdays, sometimes evenings, sometime weekends. Each opportunity is different.

Having been touched by Alzheimer's disease is helpful, but not mandatory.

The Community Education volunteer is typically 18 years old or older, but we sometimes work with youth who have family experience with the disease to speak partner with an adult to speak to other youth. We are seeking young adults, Baby Boomers, and seniors who are willing to speak to a variety of audiences.
