The Hailey Bankhead Foundation will be hosting our annual Night Under the Stars Gala on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

The gala is a semi-formal event and the theme this year is "A Black Affair." We are in need of volunteers to assist us with making this event a phenomenal experience for all of our guests. Last year was our 10 year anniversary and the event was tremendous! We hope that you would like to join us to help make this year's event memorable for our guests once again!

If you would like to volunteer, please reach out as soon as possible. This is a very important fundraising event so we are asking for serious volunteer interests only. It is paramount that volunteers who sign up commit to arriving and showing up on time. Moreover, there will also be a virtual meeting prior to the event to provide details of each assignment and answer any questions.

Volunteers are needed to assist with greeting, registration, the silent auction, merchandise, serving, etc. Volunteers for this event will need to wear a black shirt (button down/polo), black slacks, and your favorite pair of comfortable black shoes. Some volunteer positions may require semi-formal attire. As always when volunteering with Hailey Bankhead Foundation, no leggings or distressed (ripped) clothing.

For those interested in volunteering with us for "A Night Under the Stars: A Black Affair," we look forward to hearing from you. We hope you join us. It will be a Night Under the Stars to remember!

As always, what we do at Hailey Bankhead Foundation supports our mission and all proceeds from the event benefit families of those suffering with childhood cancer.

"We have been in their shoes, so we can add extra love and support that others cannot."- Heather Bankhead, Founder/Director, The Hailey Bankhead Foundation, INC

Description

The Hailey Bankhead Foundation is an organization founded from one mother’s love for her child facing childhood cancer and a need to find a sense of purpose and a desire to ease the pain and to serve other families facing childhood cancers.

Upon preliminary diagnosis, The Hailey Bankhead Foundation, INC. will offer a personalized care package to VIP families as well as provide guidance to the resources available to make dealing with the diagnosis/transition easier. We will continue our reach supporters by providing online resources, information through social media platforms, monthly newsletters and communications. The Hailey Bankhead Foundation INC’s unique intentions are to continue to keep in close contact and continuing follow up with all our families.

We host social and kid centric events including our annual 5K Walk/Run which is just one of the ways we get the community involved in raising awareness.

The Hailey Bankhead Foundation, INC.’s "A Night Under the Stars" event is to raise money for the foundation to help further the cause of childhood cancer awareness. The monies raised will help fund the annual 5K Walk/Run, purchase hats and gifts and have holiday activities for children admitted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) at Scottish Rite. If needed, we will assist the families of children admitted to CHOA by purchasing food, parking vouchers and toiletries.
