Looking for a quick volunteer gig that will take about 1 hour of your time? We have the job for you!
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks Hospital is looking for volunteers who can help sort and deliver mail to several different areas of the hospital. Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and/or Fridays, anytime after noon. Volunteers should be detail-oriented, friendly and organized and like working in a fast-paced environment and talking with people. Previous experience delivering mail or working in a mailroom would be great, but not necessary.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, have excellent customer-service skills and be dependable.
Volunteer perks include free flu vaccines, free meal and/or snack when you are volunteering, annual recognition event and awards ceremony, recognition on your birthday and anniversary and throughout the year and the opportunity to make new friends. Most importantly, you will know that you are helping your community.

Description
Volunteers are an important part of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks Hospital's staff. They help ensure every patient and visitor has the best possible experience while at the hospital.
Every effort is made to make sure our volunteers will have a positive and rewarding experience. We offer our volunteers many benefits including free annual influenza vaccines, inclusion in employee holiday celebrations and an annual recognition event.
We invite anyone interested in sharing in our mission to serve our community to be a volunteer at ABH. Additionally, we require that volunteers:
* Be at least 16 years old
* Be physically able to work on selected assignments
* Commit to a regular schedule of two to four hours a week for a minimum of six months
* Provide proof of immunizations and/or be willing to receive any necessary immunizations free of charge, including COVID-19
* Attend all training and in-service sessions as required by the Volunteer Department.
