Every other Saturday our team meets to repackage and organize recent food and supply donations before distribution to our community. Also we deliver to some clients once a month. Donation barrels are located throughout Kent County and need to be picked up and brought to the pantry. We participate in several events throughout the year and need volunteers to assist in many ways.

Mission Statement
MISSION STATEMENT - PHPFP Pleasant Hearts Pet Food Pantry is a volunteer and donation based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to keep pets with their families at home. Pleasant Hearts Pet Food Pantry was founded December 2016 by a small group of individuals who volunteered at local animal shelters. During their time volunteering they saw that many pets were surrendered because the owners felt they could not care for them financially. These pet owners were devastated and you could tell the animals were well loved and cared for. In an effort to decrease this as a top reason for pets in shelters, our pantry was born. Now the pantry is an approved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization running with a board and a group of like-minded volunteers.
Description
The main goal of our program is to keep family pets in the home instead of a shelter. We distribute food and supplies to families every other Saturday throughout the year. We provide assistance in getting their pets spayed, neutered, and we hold three free microchip clinics per year.
