About

Who Looks Up To You?

Are you looking for a fun way to give back to your community? Then consider being a Mentor! Mentors are supportive, positive friends of youth who need support.

Friends for Youth has been serving at-risk youth residing in San Mateo and northern Santa Clara counties since 1979. Our program creates and supports friendships between youth-in-need and caring adults.

Right now, there are over 50 children waiting to be matched with a mentor. That mentor could be you! By providing training and on-going support, we continue to create successful mentorships and lasting change in the lives of disadvantaged youth. Learn more about this exciting opportunity to become a mentor by visiting us on the web and signing up for an Information Session at www.friendsforyouth.org/get-involved.

NOTE: Our one-time Information Session is held at our office in Redwood City, but you can mentor near your home or work for the weekly commitment.
