We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Social Media Street Team Committee to help end mental health stigma. You will support a small nonprofit by spreading the word about our mission, educational resources, family stories, and virtual events. Volunteers will be responsible for engaging with our posts, commenting on and sharing posts across social media platforms, attending virtual events, and interacting with our online community.
We are also looking for some volunteers who are also willing to be featured in short form videos to act out skits and/or share their personal stories and experiences.
The committee will meet virtually once a month to share ideas and connect. We hope to hold our first meeting in February and will base the date around our volunteers' availability.
This is a brand new committee, so you will have the unique opportunity to help shape its direction and make a meaningful impact from the ground up. We welcome creative ideas and fresh perspectives to help us build an engaging social media presence that resonates with our community.

Description
Families for Depression Awareness continues to be the premier national organization specializing in practical education and action-based training for family caregivers whose loved ones are dealing with a mood disorder. Our mission is to help families recognize, address, and cope with depression and bipolar disorder to get people well and prevent suicides. Through nationwide webinars, online tools, publications, and in-person workshops in Massachusetts we provide up-to-date education, training, and support that specifically meet the needs of families. Our programs aid participants in recognizing depression in themselves and others and getting help so that no one suffers alone with untreated depression. In short, we help families get - and stay - on the path to mental wellness.
