Easterseals Ranch of Easterseals Southwest Florida seeks individuals to give back to their community by volunteering in Nokomis, Florida. The Ranch has been a community staple in south Sarasota County for more than 25 years, and offers hippotherapy which is traditional speech, occupational and physical therapy on horseback for children and adults with disabilities, as well as equine assisted therapy for veterans and first responders, riding lessons and horse boarding.
Why pay for expensive gym memberships when you can get your steps in assisting individuals with disabilities to thrive. Experience working with horses is NOT required, and days and times are flexible!
Volunteer Opportunities include:
- Hippotherapy Helpers
- Barn and Grounds Maintenance
- Horse Care and Grooming
- Veterans and First Responders Program Support
Choose the best day and time for you to volunteer. You can volunteer for one day a week to seven days a week, and for one hour or more. We schedule your volunteer time based on what works for you. Volunteers are needed Sunday-Saturday, between 8:00 am to 5:30 pm (based on the day).
Programs at Easterseals Ranch rely on individuals who dedicate their time and talents. Join other amazing volunteers to make these successful programs available to individuals, children families, first responders and veterans who need it most.
A background check is required for volunteering at Easterseals Ranch.
