St. Joseph's Medical Center is seeking volunteer humans and dogs to expand "pawsitivity" throughout the Stockton Unified School District.
Do you have a well-mannered dog that would bring smiles to the faces of youth in Stockton? Do you have a passion to serve your community and would enjoy sharing some important life skills with teens and children? Then please reach out to learn more about how to become a certified Pet Handler and Therapy Pet volunteer!
- No Cost certification training
- Free curriculum training to improve youth mental health
- Stipends for gas and pet grooming costs
- Serving Stockton Unified School district grade groups, K - 12
- Responding to requests to support emotional campus events
- Participating in Career Days
- Minimum 6 hours of volunteer time per month (curriculum is six weekly sessions in length)
