This would be helping support our food distribution, jobs can vary from assisting our clients with shopping, registering our clients into our system, carrying client groceries to their car, and translating (if bilingual in Spanish)! We also have a seperate shift to help with unloading our food truck and restocking our food shelves. There may also be special projects that may come up. We are open every week (unless there is a major holiday).

  • Tue Apr 15, 2025 - 07:00 AM to 10:30 AM CST - Spots available: 4
    This shift would be to help with unloading our food truck. Please know this requires physical strength and balance
  • Tue Apr 15, 2025 - 12:15 PM to 02:45 PM CST - Spots available: 10+
    This shift will help with the food distribution. Possible jobs include shopping assistant, grocery carrying, client intake, and Spanish Translation

In a community-based, confidential, respectful environment, the Jim Luther New Hope Center seeks to provide nutritionally-sound, short-term relief to families experiencing dire food insecurity while simultaneously assisting these families to achieve long-term food security.

Description

The Jim Luther New Hope Center is amongst the largest food distribution centers on the Milwaukee South Side. In our food distribution, we serve over 4,000 families each year with an emergency short-term supply of food. We make it a priority to provide all families with an abundance of fresh and culturally relevant foods. Our goal is to be a source of stability for families to support long term sustainability and growth.
