Build a friendship with an adult with developmental/intellectual disabilities

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Greater Cleveland Volunteers

Develop a one-to-one friendship with someone with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) in the community. These opportunities for friendship and inclusion are especially important to adults with IDD, who have limited opportunities to stay involved as they age.

By matching volunteers with and without IDD in friendships, hosting engaging community events, and creating matches at workplaces, we strive to create an inclusive and diverse community for all.

Serve on a monthly basis; 1 year commitment; Get together once every month; Talk to each other a few times in between seeing each other;

Mandatory background check.
