We are a meal center offfering free meals to the food insecure population Monday thru Thursday, and offer a "Family Meal" on the last Thursday evening of the month.

The ideal volunteer would be able to guide and help us in writing grant applications and seeking additional grant opportunities. Students persuing a major in a non profit/grant writing program are encouraged to contact us. Community service verification can be provided.

This would be a virtual opportunity after an initial meeting.

Mission Statement: At the Taunton Area Community Table, we endeavor to help relieve the pain of hunger in the greater Taunton area. We welcome all who come through our doors as we would a guest in our own home. Men, women and children are served with open hands, listening ears and loving hearts. We are a community based program supported by individuals, local businesses, churches and other civic organizations.

Description

Taunton Area Community Table is a community based meal center located in the Whittenton neighborhood of Taunton, MA. We offer a free noon time meal Monday through Thursday and a Family dinner on the third Thursday of each month. We ask no questions, there are no forms to fill out or ID required to be served a meal. Anyone and everyone is welcome. We open at 10 for coffee and light breakfast, lunch starts at 11:15 and ends at 12:45.
