ORGANIZATION: Hospice Compassus

Hospice Compassus is recruiting for adminstrative volunteer to provide hospice care through helping clerical assignments in an office setting. These assignments could include helping process mail outs, filing, data entry, answering phones, restocking supplies, making admission packets, and plus many other tasks.

The office is opened 8 am throughd 5pm Monday through Friday. A volunteer could also work with administrative volunteer projects from home.

The volunteer onboarding is scheduled around the volunteer's availablity. Please contact Kathleen OConnor (215-557-7300) with any questions, and she will go over the onboarding process.

Description

Hospice care is a type of healthcare that aims to reduce suffering and promote comfort at the end of and promote comfort at the end of an individual's life. Pain and any other symptoms are managed around the clock, and the hospice team focuses greatly on spiritual and emotional health as well.

The foundation of hospice includes nursing care with an emphasis on managing symptoms, practical assistance, and emotional support. Caring for a loved one at home can be challenging. Our goal is to provide timely services to help your family make the most of your time together.
