Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Volunteer Fundraising Event Manager to join our team. This individual will play a key role in planning, organizing, and executing fundraising events to support Surmount’s mission. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community service, a knack for event planning, and a talent for fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, including our paint & sip fundraiser, galas, auctions, community gatherings, and virtual events.
- Develop event concepts, themes, and formats to engage potential donors and increase participation.
- Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and vendor management.
- Oversee event timelines, ensuring all activities are on schedule.

Fundraising Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to meet financial goals in collaboration with the Surmont Leadership Team
- Identify and engage potential sponsors, donors, and partners for event support.
- Create compelling fundraising materials, including sponsorship packages and donor appeals.

Volunteer Coordination:
- Assign roles and responsibilities to team members, providing clear instructions and support.
- Foster a positive and collaborative environment for event volunteers.

Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through various channels, including social media, email, and community outreach.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop event promotional materials, such as flyers, posters, and digital content.
- Engage with media and community organizations to generate publicity for events.

*Post-Event Activities:
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
- Acknowledge and thank sponsors, donors, and volunteers for their contributions.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on event outcomes and financial results.
