Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) is an evidence-based program which equips family caregivers with the resources needed to reduce stress, foster self-confidence, improve communication and make challenging decisions.

Description

Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA) serves adults 60 and older living in Central Vermont, their caregivers, partners and families without discrimination and regardless of income. We are an AmeriCorps Seniors grantee and receive funds through their Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).

Join us in creating a caring network of support for older Central Vermonters! You can provide companionship, offer respite, prepare a garden bed or stack wood. You can lead a wellness class, deliver Meals on Wheels, provide a trip to the grocery store, and more.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • 2x year, 3hr a week for 6 weeks
  • A commitment of at least one year to complete the PTC Leader Training and co-lead a class series of six consecutive weeks twice a year.
