This position will assist the Street Health program in maintaining stock and inventory supplies used during Street Health sessions. The Street Health program uses "tools of engagement" to foster connection and build trust and rapport with the community members we serve, which ultimately helps encourage individuals to take advantage of the services we offer should our care be of benefit to them. Our tools of engagement include various outreach items such as water, snacks, hygiene supplies, harm reduction supplies, medical supplies, and a variety of other supplies to meet basic needs and promote self-care. This position will help the Street health team stayed equipped with a ready supply of outreach tools of engagement.

About Father Joe's Villages

1501 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA 92101, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to prevent and end homelessness, one life at a time. Our values are expressed in our CREED. They are the foundation of our work. (Compassion, Respect, Empathy, Empowerment, Dignity).

Father Joe's Villages, is the largest provider of homeless services in Southern California. Established in 1950 to serve San Diegans experiencing homelessness and poverty, Father Joe’s Villages has grown to include a comprehensive campus and scattered-site programs that house over 2,000 people nightly.

At least 7,600 people are experiencing homelessness every night in San Diego. Of those, nearly 4,000 men, women and children lie down to sleep each night on sidewalks, in doorways, canyons and alleys. They live without regular access to food or water, and no place to use the bathroom, wash their hands, bathe or do laundry.

People who are homeless are at greater risk of serious illness, mental health issues, substance abuse and violence.

Our pillars of care inlcude Meeting Basic Needs, Investing in Children, Making Health a Priority, and Strengthening Self-sufficiency.
