Girl Scouts Star Party

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma

Calling all star gazers and space enthusiasts! We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of young girls to reach for the stars.

This Star Party aims to create a memorable and educational experience for young girls. It will feature telescopic observations and stargazing scavenger hunts. This event is designed to encourage girls to explore the wonders of the universe and teach them how to use space science tools (telescopes, binoculars and star maps).

We are seeking passionate volunteers who share our enthusiasm for astronomy and empowering young girls. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with telescopic observations-help troops use telescopes to observe celestial objects and learn about the night sky.
  • Engage participants-inspire and mentor young girls by sharing your knowledge and passion for space and science.
  • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages young girls to pursue their interests in STEM.
  • Gain hands on experience in science outreach and education.
