Your assistance would be appreciated to replace a screen that has fallen out of a window for a homeowner. The volunteer would need to bring tools to install. Volunteers are compensated for any materials costs to do the job.
Please consider helping this older adult in our community while improving their quality of life and helping them stay longer, and more independently, in their own homes.

Mission Statement

Description
SeniorHelp is a program offered through the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging. SeniorHelp volunteers provide direct services to aging adults in the community needing assistance with such things as transportation, companionship, home maintenance, household/personal assistance (light housekeeping, organization, reading mail, laundry, etc.), interior/exterior painting, yard work, snow removal, and delivery of weekday Meals on Wheels. Our program coordinates both ongoing matches and one-time assignments. Volunteers can commit as little or as much time as they choose and most of our opportunities allow flexibility in scheduling.
All of our volunteers must be 19 yrs old or accompanied by a parent/guardian when volunteering. Because of the vulnerability of our clients, we are unable to disclose client information and set up assignments until a volunteer has enrolled in our program by completing an application. In addition to the application, etc., we screen volunteers by conducting a criminal background check and personal reference checks
