Welcome Home for Life Network Guides act as mentors for men who are preparing for release from incarceration and as they reintegrate into the community. Guides participate in the Life Builders program at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution by attending twice-a-month sessions and working individually with mentees to develop life skills that will facilitate transition from prison to community.
After a participant is released, his Guide meets him at the prison gate with a duffel bag containing basic supplies, including a cell phone, to meet immediate needs. Guides then continue to communicate with their mentee, providing support, guidance, and encouragement.
Life Builders is a nondenominational faith based program sanctioned by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections.

Welcome Home for Life Network works to successfully reintegrate formerly incarcerated persons into community by providing support and connecting to resources. We address education, employment, housing, healthcare, spiritual development and other needs for returning citizens.
Description
Welcome Home for Life provides faith-based guidance to empower returning citizens as they transition from incarceration back into their communities. Volunteer Guides participate in programming inside Chillicothe Correctional Institution two times per month and provide mentorship and support to the men pre- and post-release from incarceration.
