The Curtis Gray Foundationis looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to join our team as Fundraisers and Grant Researchers. Your efforts will help us continue our mission to impact the social and emotional wellness of youth in the aftermath of violence with post-impact training through seminars, workshops, camps, and community resources. If you have a knack for research, a talent for writing, and a drive to make an impact, we want to hear from you!

Position Overview:

As a Fundraiser and Grant Researcher, you will play a crucial role in securing the financial resources necessary to support our programs and initiatives. You will be responsible for identifying potential funding opportunities, conducting detailed research on grant prospects, and assisting in the preparation and submission of grant applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential grants and funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
  • Compile and maintain a database of grant opportunities and submission deadlines.
  • Assist in writing and editing grant proposals, ensuring they align with the organization's goals and comply with funder guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential donors and funding organizations.
  • Assist in organizing fundraising events and campaigns to engage donors and raise funds.
  • Track and report on the status of grant applications and fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in grant writing or fundraising is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Description

LLC Rise Above the Violence, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to promote safer and more productive communities, schools and households. The Curtis Gray Foundation inspires youth to "be great" through mental health awareness, emotional resilience, and leadership development. This includes crisis management training provided by learning modules and our afterschool seminars and workshops:

After School Seminars & Workshops LLC Rise Above the Violence, Inc. offers summer camp, as well as seminars and workshops during after-school hours for
youth on crisis management, bully prevention, managing difficult situations, as well as peer-to-peer group therapy through open forums.
Wellness 101 Learning Modules We believe that wellness is a state of mind. Our goal is to make these learning modules evergreen, and we need your help. Our learning modules include certificates of completion on topics of depression, anxiety, stress management, and emotional resilience.
