Mission Statement
Ghana Brain & Spine Foundation, Inc. Is committed to advancing Brain and Spine Health in Ghana, with a special emphasis on nurturing future medical professionals and scientists through scholarship and educational programs. The Foundation is dedicated to improving brain and spine health in Ghana through scholarships, educational programs, and community support, focusing on nurturing future medical professionals, enhancing neuro healthcare access, fostering brain and mind development in youth, and conducting impactful research. Our mission encompasses providing resources, support, assistance, and mentorship to communities in need, focusing on the development of world-class neuro and spine healthcare.
Description
Founded in 2023, our programs include:
- Conduct screenings to identify individuals in urgent need of neurological and spine care.
- Develop and implement programs like reading clubs, chess, and music activities to enhance cognitive development in children.
- Partner with academic and medical institutions to foster research that informs and improves neuro healthcare systems.
- Organize awareness campaigns to educate communities about brain and spine health.
- Work alongside Ghana's Health Ministries and NGOs for a wider impact and better resource allocation.
- Extend financial support to improve neuro healthcare access for the economically disadvantaged.
- Offer scholarships to support students, especially from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds, aspiring to careers in medical and scientific fields, emphasizing brain and intellectual development.
- Collaborate with local neurosurgeons and healthcare professionals for knowledge exchange and skill development
- Our mind matters program is developing chess and math based curriculums for brain and cognitive development for talented but disadvantaged children in Ghana
