United Planet invites American high school students aged 16 and above to apply to the Global Citizen Leader Internship Program, a virtual internship initiative provided by United Planet. This fully funded program provides participants the chance to collaborate on projects addressing global challenges, while also receiving specialized training in global citizen leadership

  • Virtual Internships in 20+ Countries: Work on real projects addressing global challenges, from climate change to economic development to health issues.

  • Certificate in Global Citizen Leadership: Earn a certificate to enhance your resume and future academic or career prospects.

  • Supervisor Meetings: Regular meetings with experienced supervisors to guide your internship experience.

  • Letter of Recommendation: Receive a letter of recommendation from United Planet upon successful program completion.

Eligibility:

The Global Citizen Leaders Virtual Internship Program is exclusively open to American youth currently enrolled in high schools and aged 16 years old or above. We encourage those who are struggling to find their path in school, have never received mentorship, have no access to travel or international communities, etc., to apply.

United Planet Quests enable volunteers to broaden global perspectives and cross-cultural understanding, improve foreign language skills, work in international teams, develop leadership skills, and most importantly, build lifelong friendships
