Recruiting Organization: South Los Angeles Transit Empowerment Zone (SLATE-Z)

The Resource Development Position will conduct due diligence on grant opportunities, letters of support; track grant activities; schedule meetings with partners on funding opportunities & obtain proposal copies, award letters & progress reports on grants; track partner federal grant awards that benefit efforts within the Promise Zone. Associate will provide support to the Blue Sky Funding Taskforce. Associate will be assigned to support the convening and facilitation of at least one of SLATE-Z’s five issue-based Work Groups. Associate will manage meeting planning, coordinate and communicate the agenda, action items, meeting notes, reports, and correspondence. Ensure that agendas are disseminated two weeks prior to any scheduled meeting. Attend and participate in key committee meetings, events, and activities, such as the Co-Chair Meetings and Work Group Meetings, and any other meetings as requested.

The Data & Evaluation Associate Position will implement and maintain a data collection; Track data sharing agreements and sources of data; Coordinate efforts to gather and analyze data from Work Group members with the other four VISTA members; Help develop capacity building programs such as webinars and trainings for backbone staff and SLATE-Z partners around data collection/evaluation; Support evaluation of SLATE-Z activities by coordinating with evaluation partners; Work with staff and the Communications Associate to prepare website updates and other documents reporting on the progress and impact of the Promise Zone. Manages data focused meeting planning, in accordance with scheduled deadlines; and coordinate and communicate the related agenda, action items, meeting notes, reports, and correspondence. Maintain open communication with all permanent personnel. Respond to emails in a timely manner (within 24 hours). Be prepared to interact, and work closely with other work groups and their members. The Data and Evaluation Associate may be assigned to support coordination of at least one of SLATE-Z’s five issue-based Work Groups.
