Our Gate Greeters get the day started right with a hearty welcome to guests, vendors, and community partners arriving for the Cooking for Kids BBQ Competition. Between the hours of 9am to 11am you'll welcome and provide direction to vendors and community groups hosting booths in our Carnival Row and to our Car Show participants arriving before the gates open to the public at 11am.
Shift Info: Our Saturday Gate Greeters are welcome to sign up for one or more shifts as follows:
- 9am - 1pm
- 1pm - 5:30pm
- Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your shift for orientation and training.
All volunteers who work the day of the event will receive tokens redeemable at competition booths for BBQ and beverages as our way of saying, Thank you!

Description
Camp Korey offers children and families an escape from the endless medical treatments that have overshadowed childhood. Campers grow stronger, braver, and build leadership skills that they take into their everyday lives. Our campers have reported an increase in self-esteem, confidence and resilience, along with a network of friends and support to help them through the tough times. We work with a dedicated team of medical professionals and program facilitators to create a medically safe camp adventure. Camp is always free to campers and their families, thanks to our volunteers, donors and supporters.
