Local Coordinator in Brussels for EU Parliament Lobbying

Organization: World Roma Federation

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Role: Local Coordinator

Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to help re-establish our office and local operations in Brussels. The primary focus of this role is to coordinate our lobbying efforts at the EU Parliament, advocating for the rights and needs of the Roma community.

Responsibilities:

  • Re-establish and manage the World Roma Federation’s office in Brussels.
  • Develop and execute lobbying strategies aimed at influencing EU Parliament policies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with EU Parliament members, officials, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks and ensure smooth office operations.
  • Organize and attend meetings, events, and conferences relevant to our cause.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in French or Dutch (both preferred).
  • Proven experience in lobbying, public policy, or a related field.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the EU Parliament’s structure and functions is a plus.
  • Passion for human rights and the mission of the World Roma Federation.
