Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide makeup tutorials, application guidance, and pampering services at Fort Bend Women’s Center on a volunteer basis.
  • Set up and prepare a makeup station with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Conduct one on one or small group tutorials on basic makeup application.
  • Offering tips and advice to clients about makeup application.
  • Assist clients on achieving desired makeup looks and give tips for application.
  • Ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Offer encouragement and support.
  • Greet clients in a friendly and respectful manner.
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Abide by the core values of: Service, Passion, Integrity, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork.
  • Maintain survivor confidentiality at all times.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and team members.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Experience in makeup artistry with expertise in various looks
  • Skilled in working with different skin tones
  • Ability to work with diverse clientele
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility in schedule
  • Satisfactory completion on background check and drug screening

  • An enthusiastic personality is a MUST! We assist those struggling to achieve self-sufficiency. It is a rewarding job, but one that requires a great deal of optimism.
  • By volunteering in this role, you’ll be empowering individuals experiencing homelessness to take a significant impact on their journey and rebuild their lives.
  • Works with clients in a non-judgmental manner while employing victim centered, strengths based, and trauma informed perspective.
  • Support client self-determination.
