THE ROLE
We are looking for a talented Social Media Marketer who is passionate about all thing’s social media. This person will help develop and deliver OAHSG’s social media strategy for all social channels, including numerous subsidiary social platforms.
Our ideal candidate is a creative, social media marketing professional who is highly motivated, organized, collaborative, and a go-getter. They will remain up to date on trends across major social media channels and create evolving, effective strategies despite an ever-changing digital landscape.
This role coordinates OAHSG’s and subsidiary accounts and is expected to work alongside our team to create engaging content, develop and grow social media pages, meet with stakeholders to understand their goals and strengthen OAHSG’s and its subsidiary's online presence.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
* At least 3 years of social media and/or brand storytelling experience.
* Knowledge of and skill in using all major social media platforms.
* English language fluency.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Experience designing with Canva or other design software
* Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Experience with scheduling and content deployment platforms.
* Understanding of web analytics and gathering social media insights, as well as effectively communicating them to the rest of OAHSG’s sales + marketing team.
* Strong understanding and experience with paid, owned and earned content and how each plays a role in social media marketing.


RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage the creation of content, including text posts, video (scripts), and images for use on social media.
* Deploy video and photo content across OAHSG’s social channels, optimizing placement and messaging based on channel and audience
* Interact with clients and customers, as well as respond to inquiries that come in via social platforms.
* Respond to comments and DMs in the brand voice, nurture relationships through social networking, and respond to any customer support inquiries or mitigate negative interactions when necessary
* Develop fresh and effective social media strategies and campaigns to establish the agency's digital presence more effectively.
* Strategize and conceptualize unique and relevant promotional content regularly, aligned with brand strategy and business objectives
* Keeping track of data and analyzing the performance of social media channels and posts, reporting on metrics and key performance indicators
* Collaborating with colleagues from across marketing and production departments to ensure branding is consistent. Review assets and communicate feedback to ensure branding, voice/messaging, and optimization is accurate for cross-channel use.
* Take part in weekly production meetings.
* Identify and develop relationships with paid clients.
* Research and understand brands across industries for subsidiary projects (B2B/B2C social content), consult on client projects for content development and placement
* Regularly conduct competitor audits
* Supervise one Social Media Assistant whose core roles include scheduling social media posts, actively engaging with followers, and supporting the work of the Social Media Marketer (Future).
* Strategize, manage, and operate social media including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Vimeo, LinkedIn, the website, and others.
* Strategize, manage, and implement digital content for the websites.
* Work closely with communications/marketing, conservation teams, and volunteer programs to understand storytelling priorities.
* Use social media and digital platforms to support conservation goals by motivating action and support.
* Optimize social media platforms including paid social, with an eye towards innovation and evolving use of platforms.
* Engage with supporters and others through feedback loops on social media.
* Monitor and report on progress through metrics
