ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Central Florida & USVI

Purrpose:

This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services department.

Leads a team on a day to day basis that provides follow up, recovery planning and referral services for regional events

Responsibilities:

· The primary responsibility of a Recovery Team Leader is to provide guidance, mentoring and subject matter expertise to the Recovery Team Members.

· Virtually or in person lead a team of team members who conduct Intake and provide Follow-up, Recovery Planning and referral services.

· Implement the Client Care Program Standards and Procedures.

· Ensure Follow-up and Recovery Planning services are provided to clients consistently and clients are provided supplemental if they qualify

· Be available to provide guidance to team members who have difficult cases or when a case is escalated to them in RC Care.

· Work with community recovery partners to plan for community needs and long-term recovery activities.

· Represent Red Cross and work with local COAD groups.

Responsibilities may also include readiness and capacity building activities including onboarding, training and recruiting team members and community recovery.

Time Commitment: Regional work determined by the scale of the operation; for routine operation, schedule may be flexible or may include team shifts and meetings.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications:

· Experienced Recovery Team Member committed to the mission of the American Red Cross.

· Proven ability to build a team, provide coaching, resolve conflicts and write accurate worker evaluations.

· Comfortable with technology including RC Care, MS Teams, RC View and SharePoint

· Good organization, problem solving and decision-making skills

· Able to implement the Client Care Program Standards and Procedures

· Familiar with the reporting functions and dashboards in RC Care

· Comfortable working in a virtual environment and stressful situations

· Able to recognize the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

· Demonstrate interest in learning about community resource organizations

· Be computer proficient: RC Care and Microsoft Office applications including Teams.

· Be able to follow current Red Cross disaster guidance
