STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (SMAC-SIAC) is a registered not-for-profit organization specializing in science, technology, engineering, and math. (STEM) programming is open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The SMAC will specialize in an advanced bar-none. STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)
We are expanding our programming to industry-specific, hands-on experiences. We require a street team volunteer to help us keep the momentum going in support of the growth and development of these programs. We ask you to join us in continuing to serve the youth in our community.
Time Commitment: 4-8 hours per week from July 16th to August 16, 2024
Responsibilities:
⦁ Attending assigned community events, festivals, or outreach programs as a representative of SMAC.
⦁ Set up and break down any promotional materials or activity booths (with support from the team).
⦁ Be prepared to adapt activities to different situations or age groups, demonstrating creativity and problem-solving skills.
⦁ Communicate clearly and enthusiastically with the public about SMAC's programs and mission.
⦁ Work effectively with other Street Team volunteers to ensure a smooth and successful event experience.
⦁ Assist team members with setup, breakdown, and overall event logistics.
Qualifications:
⦁ A vibrant personality with excellent communication skills to engage and connect with the public of all ages.
⦁ Ability to think creatively and adapt activities to different situations or age groups.
⦁ Ability to work effectively with other volunteers and team members, contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
