Recruiting Organization: STEM Montessori Academy of Canada

STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (SMAC-SIAC) is a registered not-for-profit organization specializing in science, technology, engineering, and math. (STEM) programming is open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The SMAC will specialize in an advanced bar-none. STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)

We are expanding our programming to industry-specific, hands-on experiences. We require a Volunteer for Video team to help us keep the momentum going in support of the growth and development of these programs. We ask you to join us in continuing to serve the youth in our community.

Time Commitment: 4-8 hours per week from July 16th to August 16, 2024

Responsibilities:

⦁ Contribute ideas for video projects aligned with SMAC's curriculum and goals.

⦁ Potentially operate cameras or audio equipment during filming sessions.

⦁ Assist with basic video editing tasks under the guidance of experienced team members.

⦁ Help develop engaging titles and descriptions for the created videos.

Qualifications:

⦁ Familiarity with video equipment (cameras, smartphones) is required.

⦁ Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for working with the team and understanding project needs.

⦁ A creative mind and a passion for storytelling will help develop engaging video content

⦁ Assist with filming setup, basic operation of equipment, and potentially interacting with subjects during filming.

⦁ Help organize footage, maintain quality control, and assist with basic editing tasks.
