Looking for caring, compassionate volunteers to join our Hospice Volunteer Team. We have both at-home and in-person opportunities.
- Send cards 2-3 per month (cards and stamped envelopes are provided)
- Call a new patient/family to check in after admission
- Make Tuck-In calls on Fridays for current patients/famillies to make sure they have what they need for the weekend
- Provice respite for caregivers and sit with a patient while they run errands, take a nap, cook a meal etc...
- Visit hospice patients in an assisted living facility and tell a story, sing a song, say a prayer or just listen
- Use your administrative skills and help in our office with sending bereavement cards, filing, assembling goodie bags, prepping for annual events such as Veterans Day and our Annual Memorial Service.
- Provide support with your creative/crafty skills by making quilts for our patients.

Description
The Traditions Heath hospice team offers a special kind of caring atmosphere that encompasses the medical, social, emotional, and spiritual aspects of treatment. Our goal is to ensure the patient lives to their fullest potential with dignity and respect, and that family members are emotionally supported.
Volunteering with us might consist of visiting with the patient, sitting with them while giving the caregiver respite, sending them cards, making quilts, helping with administrative tasks in the office, assembling goodie bags or even checking in with phone calls. We provide training/orientation and you choose when and how much you want to volunteer your time.
