ORGANIZATION: Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum

The Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum is seeking friendly individuals who are very comfortable with public speaking to read our train ride narrations over our PA system. This year's theme is about the people of the area.

We have and will provide a script. Need to be able to read and speak on a train moving up to 15 MPH.

Train rides are two departures on Saturdays through the summer and also Sunday and Monday of Labor Day Weekend (September 1 & 2).

Additional trains will operate in the fall and during the holiday season on Saturdays & Sundays.

Mission Statement

The Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum's mission is to preserve the history of railroading in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts.

Description

The museum complex is based at the restored, historic Lenox, MA depot and includes a short train ride in the yard.

Heritage train ride experiences take place between Adams and North Adams, MA.

Many volunteer opportunities are available both on-board and off the train in operations, mechanical, administration, special events, and curating our artifacts.

While the Lenox museum is open only on Saturdays from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, train ride experiences from Adams, take place during all four seasons of the year.
